original OEM specifications.

Throw Away Cameras Are Not Thrown Away

Did you know throwaway cameras are not really thrown away? On the contrary, they are sent to a remanufacturer for disassembly. The plastic body is re-ground and used as raw material to mold new bodies, while the electromechanical mechanisms and lenses are inspected for defects, repaired if necessary and returned to the manufacturer for use in new, remanufactured cameras.
This regenerative process not only preserves our environment, it saves the manufacturer valuable capital resources which are reinvested in more efficient machinery and in development of new products and technologies.

EIC has a long-standing expertise in rebuilding electronic and electromechanical components. These may range from simple power supply assemblies to more sophisticated components with multiple circuit boards. Typically, electronic assemblies may require new resistors, capacitors or induction coils. Rebuild units are tested in custom made test stands to assure like-new performance.
Electromechanical components often have multiple solenoids and connectors. EIC will rebuild wire harnesses, test and replace defective solenoids and power transformers.

Testing For Quality Assurance

Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery

EIC specializes in Remanufacturing & Resource Recovery. With more than 20 years in the business, you’ll find our caliber of expertise in remanufacturing one of the highest in the industry. We have rebuilt thousands of electro-mechanical components for one of the nation’s leading office automation manufacturer.
We understand the mechanics of rebuilding worn equipment or component parts to their original manufacturers specifications. To assure reliability, we carefully inspect every part. Serviceable items are rebuilt, critical ones are replaced. After reassembly, each components is re-calibrated if necessary and subject to a series of quality performance tests as specified by the customer.

EIC will design and build custom calibration and test platforms to assure our remanufactured components meet original manufacturer's specifications. The testing phase is very thorough. The entire unit is subjected to static specification tests and re-calibrated where required. Terminal blocks and wire harnesses are checked for continuity. Terminal block are upgraded with gold plated terminals. And, to further assure reliability, all electromechanical components are checked under simulated operational conditions.

Rebuilding Mechanical Components

Serviceable mechanical parts exist in office automation and medical imaging equipment. Servicing these components is far more cost-effective than replacement with newly manufactured assemblies. EIC has years of experience in rebuilding various mechanical component assemblies for office imaging equipment. These assemblies provide the same endurance and performance as new equipment, at a fraction of the cost.

An EIC technician is remanufacturing silicon pumps used in copiers. The remanufactured units are returned to the original equipment manufacturer in good-as-new condition and at a fraction of the cost of a new unit.

Rebuilt power supply module typically has faulty resistors and induction coils replaced. Power transformers are checked and replaced if necessary. Unit is thoroughly bench tested and calibrated to original specifications.
